Target Lights was an installation project in partnership with the Walker Art Center. As a part of their sculpture garden re-opening, we created this orb-like structure, and fitted it with a microphone, a raspberry pi, and a cellular hotspot. The sculpture transmits the waveform data in realtime to a server, and the data is interperated as levels, and displayed on the LCD panels atop the Target HQ building downtown. The result is a sculpture that you can talk, sing, or scream into, and see the result projected onto the Minneapolis skyline to be seen for miles.
